History of our company.

Dancin' Tastebuds was born in January of 2000. We are a small company with large ideas. Our goal is to create new and exciting choices without hurting your pocket book.

Dancin' Tastebuds started out by being sucked into the virtual mall revolution. Naivety and the desire to be your own boss reared it's ugly head in such a way that you were completely unaware of how they were going to take advantage of you until it was too late. Many lessons were learned the hard way (by losing precious money), but many valuable things were also learned along the way.

Our first web site featured our famous pre-seasoned beer batter mix, a few small appliances such as bread makers and crock cookers, our 2 published cookbooks and bread machine mixes from another manufacturer. The small appliance supplier sold out to another company just 3 months after our web site was launched. The terms of a thousand piece minimum order was too much for us to handle. Since this virtual mall would not let us have our own domain name since they built the site for us in this rip off program, we decided to go with another site hosting company that solicited us and offered to re-build the web site for us at no charge. Great. Wonderful. They did exactly what they said. Things were great for 6 months. They moved their offices and coincidently, our shopping cart stopped working. They worked on it for 6 months and decided they didn't want to work with that program and tried to get us to use a shopping cart system that would cost an additional $100.00 a month. They kept charging us our monthly fees, and wouldn't you know it, they wouldn't give us any money back for the time our site was down. Goodbye. They even tried to charge us after we quit with them. At that time we decided to look for a local host and build the web site ourselves and develop a truly different and tasty product line. We have done that and are continuing to build.

We Started with 4 flavored cornbreads and 2 bread machine mixes.
We have worked hard over the last year to create a goodies extravaganza.

We ran tests of our product line at local flea markets and craft fairs. The response was overwhelming.

It may take a little longer to get your product from us, but you can be assured that it will always be fresh, so please be patient if you don't get your order over night.

About our Crazy Birds.

We are African Senegal Parrots and are 6 years young. We are referred to as "Pocket Parrots" because we are small. We are about 8" tall and are very creative. We are acrobatic little clowns and like to chew our toenails and sometimes lay on our backs.
We love to play with our owners and have our own unique habits, even though we are sisters. We are sometimes fearless and other times are afraid of donut holes. We eat our staple foods of Pretty Bird African Special, Zupreem fruit flavored pellets and a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, cheeses, cereals..(our favorites include Cheerios and Chex, all flavors). We like to drink Orange Pineapple Tang for breakfast. WE LOVE CORNBREAD.

Sometimes we get some pizza and if we are real good, an occasional bite of an orange gumdrop. We get ice cream once in a while, when we can get close enough to steal it out of a bowl. We are very well taken care of. We have a wonderful veterinarian who gives us a yearly exam and does occasional grooming by shortening our sharp little toenails and clipping our wing tips so we can't fly and get hurt.
We love to take showers with our masters. We look like little hawks when we are wet. We like to go into the bank and a few selected stores while proudly sitting on our masters shoulders. We love to chew things. Our masters have shirts that contain more holes than shirt. Sometimes we dig a little deep and get some skin. You should see them jerk. Boy do we laugh. We actually do laugh. We love to snuggle at night time and love to have our necks rubbed before we go to bed.

I am BeakerWolf Von Peckles. We had to add Ms. because it was thought that I was a boy when they brought me home. The rest of my name is because I growl like a wolf and I love to peck things with my beaker (especially someone's nose..but in a playful way). I use to talk, but my sister Tula talks so much, that I can't get a word in edgewise. I love to do I am Queen Terrible Tula of Wiggle Tusch. I got my name because I am a little trouble maker and I wiggle my fanny when I go potty. I have a vocabulary of about 25 words, but don't know any bad words...yet. Watch your toes because
I willchase you around the room and bite them. I like to lay on my back and play "dead bird" and I imitate woodpeckers and like to dance. I am known as the "spider notifier" because if I see one, I won't stop staring at it until it's gotten rid of. I will also let you know if things are out of the ordinary or are out of place. I will aslo let you know if a clock stops working and I stare at mine before I go to bed to make sure I'm not being put to bed to early. I also love to crunch ice.
flip arounds and I can imitate eagles and vampire bats. I am a very good escape artist and when I leave my play area to seek out my masters, my sister Tula tattles on me by yelling "Beaker, Come on, Beaker, Where Beaker" I also like to sneak a beak full of coffee in the morning. I am a very nervous and jealous bird.
Parrots are truly brilliant creatures. They find a way to communicate with you and solve problems. Their observation of their surroundings are truly amazing. They immediately notice when things are amiss or different. For example, my grandmother came for a 4 day visit last Christmas and usually sat in a specific chair. For a week after she was gone, Beaker and Tula would constantly look over at the chair and would continue to do so until we vocally acknowledged the fact that it was OK that she wasn't there.
This is our Dr. Bloss. She's the best.
